Your SMP or medical tattoo is a medical-grade procedure. Follow these steps to heal safely and achieve the best results.
1. What You Need to Purchase
Antibacterial baby foam
Fucidin ointment (orange label) — not the red one
📋 2. Things You Need to Do
First 24–48 Hours
If a nylon bandage was applied, remove after 2–6 hours.
If a second skin bandage was applied, you may keep it on up to 48 hours only (never longer).
After removing the bandage, wash the area gently with antibacterial baby foam.
Pat dry with sterile gauze or clean tissue — do not rub.
Apply Fucidin ointment (orange label) thinly every 4 hours during this period.
Days 2–14
Wash once or twice daily with antibacterial baby foam.
Apply Fucidin ointment 3 times per day until the area is fully healed.
Keep the area moisturized but not greasy — thin application is enough.
🚫 3. Things to Avoid (0–30 Days)
No sun exposure for at least 1 month (cover with breathable cap or sun-safe protection).
No soaking in pools, ocean, sauna, or steam rooms. Showers under 5 minutes are fine.
No tight hats, helmets, or headbands that cause friction.
No harsh treatments such as scrubbing, exfoliation, or chemical peels.
No excessive sweating or sports for at least 5 days (longer if swelling persists).
No scratching or picking as flakes form — allow natural shedding.
Avoid pets’ contact (dogs, cats) — they carry bacteria that may cause infection.
⚠️ 4. Watch for Complications
Contact your technician if you see:
Severe redness or swelling beyond Day 3
Yellow discharge or foul smell
Color turning very dark or very light in patches
✅ Healing Timeline Overview
Days 0–2: Slight redness, possible oozing, very fresh look
Days 3–7: Light scabbing/flaking begins — do not pick
Days 8–14: Scabs fall off, color may look lighter (normal)
Days 15–30: Skin settles, pigment evens out
After Day 30: Review your result; touch-ups may be scheduled if needed
